Doing the Math DRK12 Poster

This poster shows how a mathematics professional development (PD) for paraeducators (a.k.a. teacher assistants, instructional assistants), resulted in a shift in attitudes and experiences towards mathematics. These findings are from pre- and post-interviews with 20 paraeducators from five Boston Public schools who created Math Journeys, longitudinal autobiographical drawings representing their experiences with mathematics. The Epistemic Network Analysis (ENA) data demonstrates how and in what ways their attitudes to mathematics shifted before and after participating in a PreK-Grade 3 Mathematics PD.
