National Academies to Release New Report Calling for Action on Supporting Family Caregivers in Academic STEMM

Caregiving is a universal experience, yet many family caregivers remain stigmatized and under-supported within the STEMM workforce. In a new report, Supporting Family Caregivers in STEMM: A Call to Action, a committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine examined the challenges faced by these caregivers working in academic STEMM.

To learn more about the report, join the Committee on Women in Science, Engineering, and Medicine at the April 11 report release webinar. The webinar will feature presentations on the findings, recommendations, and a Q&A period with the committee.

Mia Ong, senior researcher at TERC, is a committee member and co-author of the report.
