Maria Blanton, Senior Scientist at TERC, is the recipient of the 2020 Award for Interdisciplinary Excellence in Mathematics Education.
This is a wonderful honor, recognizing all that Maria has contributed to the field throughout her career especially in the area of early algebra education.
Maria has been fortunate to work with some amazing teachers whom she has said where pivotal in the success of her and her team’s work. For the last several years, Maria has worked closely with Angela Gardiner and outside colleagues Ana Stephens and Eric Knuth.
