Kelly Paulson Participates at Educating All Learners Alliance Community of Action

ND in STEM team member Kelly had the privilege of attending the Educating All Learners Alliance Community of Action in January 2026. EALA, an alliance dedicated to support for students with disabilities and learning differences, brought together organizations with similar missions for an energetic 36 hour “dophin tank.” Groups found common problems of practice, created and pitched work to create solutions, and as a collective, selected which should receive funding. While ND in STEM was not successful this year*, Kelly had a chance to work with representatives from Compass High School, The Village it Takes, and the Patrick Lyndon Pilot School in West Roxbury, MA to consider how storytelling can give a voice to learners so they can be known and seen by educators in their orbit. The event was an inspirational reminder that people, with whole heart and mind, are still dedicated to this work.

*TERC was awarded funds last year that have been supporting Code in Motion, a collaborative initiative to provide access to computer science to homeless young people.
