TERC senior researchers Debra Bernstein and Gillian Puttick have published “Building Biomimetic Robots in Middle School by Aligning STEM Practices,” in the Journal of Science Education and Technology. The study examines how middle school students use computational thinking to connect ideas about animal structure and function with the design and programming of biomimetic robots, offering new insights into integrated STEM learning.
