The chart below includes links to spreadsheets that allow people to search each EMPower series title or individual lesson by the College and Career Readiness (CCR) Content Standards, the CCR Standards for Mathematical Practice, Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK), the three elements of Rigor (conceptual understanding, procedural skill and fluency, and application), and much more.

In the “Standards for Mathematical Practice” column below, you will find links in bold blue text that will download a sample activity from the EMPower series that exemplifies the Mathematical Practice (MP) indicated. To learn more about how these samples were chosen, click here

There are eight Standards for Mathematical Practice:

  • Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. (MP.1)
  • Reason abstractly and quantitatively. (MP.2)
  • Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. (MP.3)
  • Model with mathematics. (MP.4)
  • Use appropriate tools strategically. (MP.5)
  • Attend to precision. (MP.6)
  • Look for and make use of structure. (MP.7)
  • Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning. (MP.8)
