ASTC Annual Conference 2025
Ibrahim Dahlstrom-Hakki, Project Investigator for NeuroVivid, lead a hands-on demonstration at the Association of Science and Technology Centers Annual Conference in San Francisco, September 8, 2025.
He demonstrated an activity that is a part of the project, NeuroVivid: Developing and Testing a Maker Experience to Build Interest in Careers in Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) Among Neurodivergent Youth.
Participants in this session had the opportunity to experience and learn about a simple BCI that allowed them to use their concentration to levitate a physical ball. This experience was part of the NSF funded project (DRL-2241380) for neurodivergent middle school students run at the New York Hall of Science.
