Dr. Heather Cunningham, Ed.D (BootUp PD), alongside collaborators Coach Ron (Fun Zone Reading Club 4 Homeless) and Kelly Paulson (TERC), will present “Cross-Sector Collaboration: Expanding Computer Science (CS) Opportunity for Students Experiencing Homelessness” at ISTE 2026.
The session will highlight Code in Motion by SPARKS, a cross-sector partnership that brings together STEM education, CS organizations, and community programs to co-design computer science learning with families experiencing homelessness. A key element of the work is training community members as facilitators—expanding access, belonging, and opportunity in CS learning.
