The Exploratorium Partners with TERC, Others, in $8 Million NSF-funded Research+Practice Collaboratory

CAMBRIDGE, MA– San Francisco’s Exploratorium, in partnership with the University of Colorado-Boulder, the University of Washington, EDC, Inverness Research, and TERC, has received an $8 million grant from the National Science Foundation to develop a Research + Practice Collaboratory aiming at ‘bridging the gap’ between research and development work and teaching tools and practices in K-12 STEM education settings.

The Collaboratory is a 5-year project aimed at addressing the fundamental need for creation, support, and translation of robust STEM research and research-vetted resources for classrooms and informal/out-of school environments to improve STEM learning opportunities for children and teens.
