Responsive to whom\u2014and according to whom? This talk invites educators to reimagine mathematics teaching and learning through the lens of belonging and design. Together, we will confront pervasive myths and ideologies that shape mathematics education and center both student and teacher agency and resilience. Her research explores how UDL and culturally sustaining pedagogies foster inclusive classrooms that embrace and leverage students\u2019 multidimensional identities, specifically disability, class, gender, race, and language. A writer for NCTM\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Catalyzing Change<\/em>&nbsp;policy document and coauthor of&nbsp;<em>Reimagining the Mathematics Classroom<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Upper Elementary Mathematics Lessons to Explore, Understand, and Respond to Social Injustice<\/em>, she has published widely on equitable mathematics teaching.
