Melissa Goretskie<\/strong> (2026) “I want to share that my student and I got to share our project about burning fields with the Farmer’s Union at their annual convention. We are trying to help farmers reduce the need to burn their fields before planting.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benjamin Little<\/strong> (2026) writes: “I\u2019ve had a busy month. I presented on game based learning at the Full Scale Symposium in Indianapolis at the beginning of the month, where I featured my climate and energy game Mission: Clean Energy. It was very well attended and received! I organized a litter pickup for the day after Halloween with the Environmental Club at my school. I also created and am pitching an Ethical AI Use Framework for my school that centers sustainability, humanity, and student voices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On smaller notes, I\u2019m enjoying teaching my ecosystems class this cycle. My plants are growing in the school garden. I\u2019m looking forward to introducing the ReHuman project\u2019s idea of humans as keystone species when we do food webs this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Climate trunk<\/strong><\/a>. A fascinating website that provides informational graphics on a wide range of climate change science, education, and policy, drawing from current research and reporting. From the website: “Understanding climate change and the global energy system is hard. New claims arrive faster than we can make sense of them. Hot takes crowd out credible context. And without a solid foundation, knowledge can fall away \u2013 like a tree without a trunk.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s the idea behind Climate Trunk. A growing library of visual explainers that holds the big picture together \u2013 from science and history to impacts and justice, and from societal net zero to our spheres of influence.
