TERC is evaluating the Fantasy Sports project at Pennsylvania State University. The project is studying the decision-making strategies used by fantasy sports players, with focus on informal mathematical practices. The evaluation will be used to inform the design of a fantasy sports system that provides explicit support for decision-making with mathematical evidence. The goal is to enhance everyday mathematical practices of African American and Latino adolescent players by augmenting existing activities with tools for reflection and data analysis.
