Project Director: Harold McWilliams

Topics: Earth and Space Sciences, Life Science, Biological Science, Science Assessment

Closed Program

The New England Aquarium, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and University of Massachusetts are working to create a New England Regional Center for Ocean Science Education Excellence. This Center will provide K-12 teachers with tools to create curricula that connect the oceans and the seafloor with the atmosphere, land, and human activities. TERC is developing materials that demonstrate hands-on use of scientific data, and are advising on professional development and assessment strategies. Funded by the New England Aquarium through a grant from the National Science Foundation.
