Infusing NSDL in Middle Schools: Obstacles and Strategies

This National Science Digital Library (NSDL) research project is examining systemic issues that directly impact classroom teaching and learning in science, technology, and mathematics at the middle school level. This project has been designed to complement the Core Integration NSDL prototype efforts. By focusing on middle school science, technology, and mathematics teaching and learning, the project is providing feedback that will be critical for the development of an online portal, and will establish a research foundation to successfully develop and deploy new K-12 resources within NSDL while promoting high quality teaching using digital resources. Funded by Eastern Michigan University through a grant from the National Science Foundation with a subcontract to TERC and Merit Network.
