The Save the Redwoods League Education Program seeks to encourage more people of diverse backgrounds to protect our unique redwood forest ecosystems. The League helps connect people of all ages to these majestic trees through the many place-based programs they sponsor, their website, and their outreach efforts.

The evaluation conducted by TERC's Evaluation Group will explore the extent to which:

  • Formal and informal educators find the League’s education grants and teaching resources better enable them to build knowledge and appreciation of redwoods among the people they serve;
  • The League’s education grants connect more people from urban and rural settings to the redwoods;
  • Grantees and education resource users create and share redwood resources.
