Math Off the Shelf

TERC is collaborating with eight public library networks across the country to make math a fun, visible part of after-school library programming for elementary-age children and their families. The project is producing math activities and games that librarians use as part of story times, family events, summer reading programs, and displays. Project staff assist in the training and support of childrens’ librarians in the integration of project materials and evaluate the impact and efficacy of the project activities on library and after-school programming, librarians and informal educators, and public library audiences.

Activities, staff training materials, and recommended book lists will be available online in both English and Spanish at no cost to librarians and after-school educators.
