Biographical Summary
Marian is Project Director of the GECCo project, an energy conservation program for junior girl scouts in Eastern Massachusetts. In this role she manages the development, testing and dissemination of the GECCo program, working closely with our partners the Girl Scouts and 360KID, a children’s creative media company. Marian also contributes to two climate science projects at TERC—writing and reviewing online chapters about using scientific databases and tools in the classroom for secondary teachers and students, and developing a national collection of climate science resources for secondary level educators and students.
Prior to joining the TERC staff in 2008, Marian was involved in developing professional development resources and programs for secondary mathematics and science teachers at Education Development Center. She has taught middle school science, and been a financial manager and banker earlier in her career.
