Throughout the development of the new TERC web site, from design to implementation, we have sought to create a site that is accessible and functional for all users.
Feedback
TERC has consulted with accessibility experts and tested this site with assistive technologies. Please report all problems to communications@terc.edu and we will make every effort to correct them.
Access Keys
Access keys provide keyboard shortcuts for commonly used links. To use the access keys on a PC, hold down the ALT key and press the number below. To use access keys on a Macintosh using Mozilla or Firefox, hold down the Control + Option keys plus the number key below. On a Macintosh using Safari, Omniweb, or Internet Explorer, hold down the Control key plus the number below. The following access keys are active across the TERC website:

Standards Compliance
All pages are built to comply with the following standards:
XHTML 1.0 Transitional
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
Pages on this site use structured semantic markup. H1 tags are used for main titles, H2 tags for subtitles. For example, on this page, JAWS users can skip to the next section within the accessibility statement by pressing ALT+INSERT+2.
Pages on this site use validated HTML and CSS markup.
Exceptions
The site includes interactive pages called Showcases, which do not meet accessibility standards.
PDFs may not be assumed to meet accessibility standards.
Images
All images used on this web site have suitable alt attributes (or empty alt attributes for purely decorative items).
Scripts
JavaScript is kept to a bare minimum on this site, and no content section should be unusable if JavaScript is not enabled or not supported in your web browser.
